History

The Syrian Endocrine Society (SES) was founded in 1997; as a professional medical society under the Syrian Medical Syndicate. The Headquarters for the SES is based in Damascus, but its activities cover all the Syrian Arab Republic and involve a large number of endocrinologists and internists with interest in diabetes and endocrine disorders.

The society has organized and collaborated on multiple conferences and scientific symposia including the annual SES meetings. "Alam Al Ghodad” is the official publication of the Society and is also the only Arabic language endocrinology journal.
